Dolphin Street

At Dolphin Street we provide high quality education and learning opportunities for children aged 0-5 years. We are passionate about caring for children and supporting their families. We consider our setting to have a family, home from home feel.

Building positive relationships

Our team build positive relationships with parents and work closely with parents in planning interesting activities for our children following their key interests. We document our children’s learning and progress in their own personal learning journal which can be taken with your child as a keepsake when the time comes for them to leave our setting for school.

Our team pride themselves on supporting children from all back rounds, circumstances and beliefs. We enjoy celebrating various festivals across the year encouraging learning around different cultures and peoples ways of life.

We have a fabulous sensory room which is used by all of the children and is beneficial in supporting the development of children with specific educational needs. We also use this area to provide focused development sessions for all of the children regardless of the needs and always want to encourage rapid progress for all our children.

In our summer term, we carry out school ready sessions in preparation for our children who are moving onto their reception year and will do relevant transition visits and reports as required for each child and their family.

We provide services to support families in need who attend our setting whether it be through children’s needs, housing circumstances or general help with the difficulties families have in life. This can be done by opening an Early help plan, referring to outside agencies for support and offering 24-hour emergency food packages.
